DisruptHR LondonFun | Fast | Fabulous

DisruptHR London is an information exchange designed to energise, inform and empower people in the HR field

DisruptHR is an event series that shakes things up, makes you think differently, and leaves you inspired. 14 speakers, 5 minutes each, with slides rotating every 15 seconds, sharing their ideas, fast! Founded by Chris Ostoich and globally run by CEO Jennifer McClure, The Searchologist holds the license for London and runs events every 3 months.

Sponsors for DisruptHR London donate directly to Hope for Justice. Which helps them to do their amazing work re-homing the most vulnerable street kids and helps #ConnectingHRforJustice continue to support the staff & carers each year. Hope For Justice aims to out an end to modern slavery. London is, shockingly, a global hub for modern slavery. It makes sense that London-based Katrina supports and is an Ambassador for this charity.

Last month I took part in a Disrupt HR London session set up by the amazing Katrina Collier presenting my ignite talk on ‘Is Your L&D Offering Netflix Good?‘. What the event showed me was there is a vibrant community of HR/L&D professionals that are part of Disrupt that might not be the archetype of what we (or our stakeholders) associate with the industry. They are taking risks, sharing ideas and just generally trying to do good work in our field. In doing so, they are helping individuals and their organisations make the most of their roles and careers – which is something that I think we can all get behind. Doing this talk felt like the sort of risk I have not taken with an external environment in a while, but was totally worth it!

20 slides, 5 minutes, how disruptive can it be?

A selection to whet your appetite. And no, you don’t need to be able to rap, sing or make poetry to speak, but isn’t it wonderful?
